 Speaker Visits Assembly Complex in Srinagar, Stresses Smooth Office Operations

Syed Sajid Hussain, SRINAGAR, MAY 5: Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, today paid a visit to the Assembly Complex in Srinagar to assess the functioning of various offices and ensure the readiness of facilities following the recent Budget session in Jammu.During his visit, the Speaker inspected multiple sections within the complex and held interactions with staff members to gain firsthand insight into office operations. He emphasized the need for professionalism, regular attendance, and timely file disposal to ensure efficient public service.Highlighting the significance of uninterrupted office functioning in Srinagar, the Speaker conducted a detailed review of essential amenities such as drinking water availability and power supply. He also reviewed the ongoing transfer of official records from Jammu, where the Assembly recently concluded its month-long Budget session.The Speaker called on officials to maintain high standards in service delivery and ensure smooth functioning across departments.Accompanying the Speaker were Additional Secretary of the Legislative Assembly, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, and senior officers including Qazi Mushtaq Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad Wani, Mohammad Jamaludin, and Fayaz Ahmad Joo.
